Mason Mitchell Motorsports Corrigan Oil 200 Pre-Race

STATESVILLE, North Carolina – Statistically Michigan International Speedway (MIS) has been one of Mason Mitchell Motorsports best tracks on the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards circuit with an average finish of 3.7 in three starts. There’s only one more thing for the championship team left to do in the “Irish Hills” and that’s capture a win at the 2.0-mile oval.

ARCA veteran Kyle Weatherman will be behind the wheel of the No. 78 Turn One Condos/St. Charles Glass Chevrolet for the championship team. Weatherman led 17 laps last year at MIS before the fuel tank sputtered with four laps remaining resulting in a 12th place finish. Weatherman will make his 50th career ARCA start next month at the Iowa Speedway.

Weatherman’s No. 78 will feature Detroit Lions Safety Don Carey’s REECH Foundation on the car.

Driver Kyle Weatherman Quotes:

“Michigan is the fastest track that we race at so keeping your momentum through to corners is going to be key,” Weatherman explained. “It’s always important to run well every week but it’s critical to run well at MIS with all of the manufactures watching. Kevin Reed has it figured out at MIS. We’ve had a lot of speed this season. We just need all of the pieces to line-up. If we can make that happen, we can end the day in victory lane.”

“It’s going to be great having Detroit Lions Safety Don Carey at the track this weekend to help him with promoting his foundation. I think it’s great to see other athletes taking interests in what we’re doing on the racing side of things.”

Owner Mason Mitchell Quotes:

“We’ve always had speed at Michigan, Owner Mason Mitchell stated. “It’s one of my favorite tracks as a drive. To be fast you have to be on edge all race long. I know we will have speed with Kyle behind the wheel and Kevin Reed calling the shots on top of the box. This is a track we want to win at really bad.”
